Help Make Preservation a Priority!

Welcome Aboard, Stephen Metz!

Columbus Landmarks Board of Trustees is pleased to welcome Stephen Metz to a three-year term.

Stephen is President of SMBH Structural Engineering, and has over 20 years of experience designing and managing a diverse portfolio of structural systems. He is Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited. Stephen’s expertise will be invaluable to Columbus Landmarks as we  pursue the stabilization and preservation of endangered buildings.

Stephen was introduced to Columbus Landmarks through his professional mentor and friend, Bill Lantz. Bill is also a structural engineer with SMBH who served two terms on our Board. We still rely on Bill’s expertise, so we know that he will be relieved we have another structural engineer on speed dial!

SMBH, under Stephen’s leadership, has the distinct honor of having provided engineering services to four of the five finalist projects for the 2019 James B. Recchie Design Award: the Main Library renovation; the Michael B. Coleman Government Center; the OSU Pomerene Hall renovation; and The View on Grant.

Stephen joins our hard-working Board of 24 trustees, dedicated to advancing our mission. »Meet the rest of the team!
