2009 Annual Design & Preservation Awards

Each year, Landmarks honors individuals and institutions that have made exceptional strides in promoting historic preservation and producing quality urban design in central Ohio. Congratulations to the winner of the 2009 James B. Recchie Design Award, bestowed on October 8:

AWARD CATEGORIES:
1. James B. Recchie
Design Award
Building, parkland, public interior or landscape that has made a significant impact within the past five years. Acknowledges building owners & promotes work of design professionals who shape the fabric of our built environment.

2. Outstanding Person Award
Individual who has enhanced the cause of preservation in our community’s built environment.

3. Outstanding Group Award
Neighborhood, community group, or association program or project that has significantly fostered the cause of preservation or improved the built environment, thereby enhancing quality of life in our community.

4. Dixie Sayre Miller
Patron Award
Institution or individual whose commitment has reached beyond the ordinary in the cause of preservation & improvement of our built environment.

5. Open Category Award
Quality design that has inspired. This category is open to anything that reflects quality design, from creative use of a former parking lot to a project that preserves our city's ethnic heritage.

6. Outstanding Student
Student or student group who has enhanced the cause of preservation in our community’s built environment.

7. James L. Keyes
President's Award
Awarded at the discretion of Landmark's President of the Board.
